This Sunday we will continue our study of the Book of Acts by finishing chapter 16.

If you recall from last week, Paul, Silas, Timothy, and Luke made there way to the city of Philippi and met a woman named Lydia. Paul shared the good news of Jesus with her, the Lord opened her heart, and Lydia’s life changed forever. We also heard how Paul cast a demon out of a slave girl.

This week, we see how the city reacts to Paul’s actions and we meet  a prison guard who is freed from an invisible prison that was more confining that chains and bars that he could see and touch.

We, too, often live as prisoners– and most of the time we don’t even realize it. Join us tomorrow to find out the secret to living free!

Looking forward to Sunday!

Grace and peace,

Doug

PS– I will be preaching at Russell House Church tomorrow (the place where we sang Christmas carols) at 2:00. Let me know if you would like to come– it is awesome to be with the folks there and they love to see new faces 🙂

This week we will continue our study of the Book of Act. To prepare, read Acts 16:13-40. In this passage we see how three different people react to the good news of Jesus Christ.

As you read, notice the role that Paul and Silas play in each of the stories. Also, pay attention to the kind of people the are interacting with. As we study this we will see the incredible power of the gospel to change, heal, and restore those who receive it.

Looking forward to Sunday!

Grace and peace.

This week we will continue our study of the Book of Acts. To prepare, read Acts 16. There are three stories about people who encounter God and are ministered to by Paul and Silas.

As you read these stories, think about what they mean to you. How are you like Paul? What kinds of people do you regularly encounter?

May God bless you this day– and I hope to see you Sunday!

Grace and peace,

Doug

First of all, I would like to thanks all those who brought food last week to our New Year’s brunch. It was all delicious and a great way to break any weight loss resolutions right out of the gate!

This week we will return to the book of Acts. Take a look at Acts 15:36-41. It is a small passage, but I think it speaks to something we can all relate to. How do you respond when someone lets you down? How about if someone wrongs you?

These are good questions to think about because the chances that you will be wronged or let down by other is approximately 100%!!! it’s gonna happen so we may as well be prepared for it.

That’s what we’ll be talking about tomorrow– I hope you can join us.

Looking forward to Sunday!

Grace and peace,

Doug
