March 24th News– Palm Sunday

March 21, 2013 by · Leave a Comment

This Sunday is Palm Sunday and we will remember the day that Jesus returned to Jerusalem for the final time during his earthly ministry. You can read the accounts of this story in Matthew 21:1-11, Mark 11:1-11, Luke 19:28-44, and John 12:12-19.

We will focus on Luke’s account and see that this was a day of triumph and pain, victory and suffering.

I encourage you to read each gospel account of Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem as we set our hearts and minds on the cross and resurrection. My prayer is that each of us can see and experience Jesus in a fresh, new way.

I want to correct an announcement I posted last week… The Good Friday service with CrossCurrent Church (in the sanctuary of Hilltop Community Church) will be from 5:30pm to 6:30pm (see below for details).

Looking forward to Sunday!
