Series: Follow Me

Message: Thanksgiving & Gratitude

We just celebrated a holiday that is all about giving thanks and gratitude. It’s actually a great idea– and biblical, too! We are called to give thanks on a regular basis.

But, sometimes this can be challenging. We tend to struggle in this area (at least I do!).

This Sunday we are going to practice gratitude.

To prepare, read Matthew 26:26-27 and Psalm 100.

Looking forward to Sunday!

Grace and peace,

Doug

Prayer Ministry

Do you need prayer? Our prayer ministry wants to pray for you! Look for Prayer Request cards by the offering basket. Fill one out and put it in the offering basket– or find the prayer table after the service and pray with someone.

November 28th News

As we enter into the Christmas season, we will continue our series Love One Another. This would seem to make a lot of sense since God sent Jesus because he “loved the world”.

Last week, we talked about the importance of encouragement in building unity in the body and as a way to express love for each other (hopefully you have intentionally encouraged someone this week… if not– there’s still time!). This Sunday we will look at the idea of gratitude.

Are you a grateful person. If so, how come? If not, why not? I am sure that we all feel like we could express gratitude more often in our lives– or, at least, express it more effectively. We’ll look at Luke 17:11-19 to gain some perspectives on gratitude and our expression of gratefulness.

I believe it will be a great way to kick-off the Christmas season and focus our hearts and minds on Jesus in a real, practical way!

Also– if someone would purchase and bring coffee cups we would all appreciate it.

Looking forward to Sunday!

Grace and peace,

Doug
